This solution consists of saline, a local anesthetic, and epinephrine to help further numb the treatment area, minimize bleeding, and swell the fat cells so they are easier to remove. (1) Dr. Friedlander will create several small incisions around the targeted fat deposits before inserting the VASER cannula. The cannula is a long, thin rod with several small holes around the top and sides. The cannula emits powerful ultrasonic waves to emulsify and suction out the fat cells from the treatment area. (2) Once your desired results have been achieved, Dr. Friedlander will close the incisions and allow you to rest under the care of the NorCal Liposculpture team. The duration of the procedure can range from one to two hours, depending on the amount of fat being removed.
Recovery
After your procedure, Dr. Friedlander will provide a compression garment for you to wear as you heal. This garment is designed to reduce swelling and help you maintain your new sculpt. You may return to your usual routine within a week, but you should avoid high-impact and physical activities until Dr. Friedlander approves. You will also need to attend follow-up appointments throughout your recovery with Dr. Friedlander so he can monitor your progress.
