If you have questions regarding Botox, read on to learn more about Botox and how it may change how you look and feel.
What is Botox?
Botox is an FDA-approved neuromodulator that is injected directly into the muscles of the face. Botox injections are minimally invasive, meaning they do not require surgery. Botox works to prohibit the targeted facial muscles from contracting. It is the constant contraction of the muscles that applies pressure to the surface of the skin causing it to crease or fold between the muscles. Over time, the creases become more prominent and permanent, resulting in wrinkles and lines on the face. Botox eliminates the contractions, which in turn, eliminate the creasing of the skin.
How long does Botox last?
Botox injections can last up to 6 months. Some patients may experience a shorter or longer timeline as each patient’s reaction to Botox is different. However, patients may return for follow-up injections to meet their aesthetic goals.
Where can I have Botox injected?
Botox Cosmetic is FDA-approved to treat fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, in between the eyebrows, and crows feet around the eyes.1 Have other areas you may need addressed? Contact NorCal Liposculpture today to schedule a one-on-one consultation.
Is there a generic version of Botox available in Roseville, CA?
There is no generic of Botox on the market. According to Botox Cosmetic, the FDA has deemed Botox as not interchangeable with any other product. This means there is no substitution for Botox. It has been deeply studied and has many quality assurance measures in place to ensure quality and product integrity.
How long does it take to recover from Botox injections?
After receiving Botox you can return to your daily activities immediately! The minimally invasive procedure is a quick, in-office treatment that can meet your aesthetic goals without monopolizing your day.
How much does Botox cost in Roseville?
Botox injections are a highly customized procedure. Because of this, cost will be individualized, as well. The only way to receive a final cost for Botox is to attend a private consultation at NorCal Liposculpture.
Dr. Friedlander does not want your goals to be out of reach because of cost. He has partnered with several companies to offer special financing for your cosmetic procedure(s). Is Botox safe?
Botox has been extensively studied over time. Botox is FDA-approved for treating the lines between the eyebrows, lines on the forehead, and lines around the eyes. When administered by a trained medical professional in a medical setting, Botox is completely safe. During your consultation, you will need to disclose any allergies. Please inform Dr. Friedlander if you have had any adverse effects from Botox or other neuromodulator. This will help him determine your candidacy for Botox.
Botox has not been studied in pregnant or breastfeeding individuals. Adverse effects are extremely rare. They may include rash, itching, burning at injection sites, headache, back pain, dry eye, issues with swallowing, and difficulty breathing. This is not an all-inclusive or exhaustive list. Adverse effects should be reported to Dr. Friedlander immediately by calling (916) 347-7755 or contacting emergency services.2
What happens during a Botox injection appointment in Roseville?
During your appointment for Botox injections, your skin may be numbed using a topical anesthetic. From there, your skin will be cleansed and you will be asked to tense the target muscles. The prescribed amount of Botox will be injected into the facial muscles responsible for the visible creases on your skin. The skin will be cleansed following injection and you will be allowed to go on about your day! 10-20 minutes is all it takes!
How long does it take to see results from Botox?
You will begin to see results within 24 to 48 hours following injection. The procedure is fairly quick and there is no downtime.
Can I have dermal fillers at the same time as Botox injections?
Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, are minimally invasive injections used to smooth depressions in the skin. These may be lines and wrinkles, hollows of the face, such as around the eyes, or atrophic scarring. Juvederm may also be used to fill the lips to increase volume.
There is nothing barring you from having Juvederm and Botox administered in the same appointment. However, it may be best practice to complete one treatment and return for the next treatment once the final results are realized. For example, it may take up to a week to see final results from Botox injections. A week after Botox, you may return for Juvederm. This would be to prevent any overcorrection that may occur. If you have questions about utilizing the duel action of Juvederm and Botox, schedule a private consultation with Dr. Friedlander today!.

As the ability to contract the muscles gradually return, you may schedule a follow-up appointment to keep your skin looking flawless!
